FRAZZLED & FRIENDS

Making or maintaining friends isn’t meant to live on your to do list.

UNLOAD THE MOTHERLOAD

Your household can be sharing the jobs but you still carry the load.

Doing the task is one part of it. There is still the noticing, remembering, working out who, prompting, and checking it has been done.

Unload the Motherload helps stop your brain being the household’s storage system.

MOTHERHOOD

Motherhood evolves as our littles ones grow.No one talks about how much you change along the journey too.

The little beings who are solely dependent on you for everything become big kids who need you in an entirely different way. At the same time, perimenopause and our hormones change your energy, your whole body, your relationships, and your patience and tolerance levels.

In amongst all that combined change, there is you.

Sally Something is about this part of motherhood. The family, the invisible load, the teenagers, friendships, relationships, and most importantly, what you want the next season to look and feel like.

I’m a mum of four boys, so I’ve been doing motherhood for a while and often have zero idea what I’m doing.

I’m not a parenting expert, a hormone specialist or someone who has cracked the secret to a calm household. I am, though, right in the thick of all the hormonal chaos that comes with perimenopause and puberty hitting all at once. I’ve been through the nappy years and am hurtling my way towards having all teenagers, and I have a family that doesn’t always behave the way the parenting books say they should.

Sally Something grew out of my fascination with what happens to us as mothers during this stage. Our kids are becoming more independent at the same time our own bodies and brains are demanding change too. The things we’ve carried for years can suddenly feel like massive burdens, the things we tolerated can become intolerable, and in the mess we are also starting to want for ourselves.

It’s not on my agenda to tell women how to mother or how to live. My own thriving is in creating things that help women in this chaotic period, asking good questions, and bringing women together to make it all feel a little less like something we have to figure out alone.

I’m a deep thinker, a creator and I love making things. Those things, combined with a love of human connection and helping people feel safe, are why this site exists. I might create useful tools, support a group of women who might otherwise never have met, or write about something you’ve been feeling or experiencing but haven’t been able to put into words yourself.

We all matter and deserve to feel that at our very core. x
